God’s Work is a work of faith. It is also a work of all believers faithfully living the life of Christ in them.
We have dedicated members who are committed to serving our Lord Jesus and ministering to the church and the community. Many of our members volunteer on staff every July for our one-week youth camp, SEP So Cal. Each November, we make gift-filled shoeboxes for children in developing countries through Operation Christmas Child. Every year, our teens get involved in World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine.
If you are interested in helping with any of these ministries, please let us know!
We value everyone, but children hold a special place in our hearts, just like Jesus when he said, Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God (Luke 18:16 ESV). We want them to experience the joys of having a personal relationship with Jesus as their Lord, guide, and friend. This is done by telling them who our awesome God really is and how much He loves them regardless of age, marginality, weirdness, nuttiness, or anything! Nothing hinders His love to them.
Our childrens church is during worship services. Kids learn about Jesus through Bible stories, devotions, and fun games at their level in a more comfortable setting among their peers. We aim to give them a solid foundation for their future built on faith and trust in Jesus to really feel that they are loved and will never be forgotten. They are so important to Him that He gave up His life for each of them and will be with Him with everlasting happiness in heaven.
Ezer Maninang is the Youth Pastor, working with wonderful volunteers who are mostly parents themselves. Ezer also volunteers by leading a Good News Club at a local elementary school.
Convalescent Home Service
Every Sunday morning at 10:45am, we hold a 30 minute church service for the residents of Eisenhower Convalescent Hospital. Rotating volunteers help with this selfless ministry each week, leading worship and giving a short biblical message to the residents of the nursing home, who love that we come to them and allow them to participate in a church service. We are always needing more volunteers, especially to give the 5-10 minute messages, so please contact Anthony Walton if you are interested.
What is a Christian? What does it mean to follow Jesus? Who is the Holy Spirit? What’s the point of the church? These are questions that many people have, but not enough people are answering. Discover who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for you. Learn the relevance of the Bible in today’s world through interactive lessons and dialogues.
These classes are held periodically throughout the year, typically during the potluck after church services. Please see Pastors Bermie or Mike if interested.
For information on our summer mission trips, please see our Great Commission Trips website. In the past, we have gone on trips to Mexico, the Bahamas, the Philippines, India, Africa, Colombia, and more. Our service trips are typically for teens and young adults.
